Not all pools are built equal. There is a wide variety of pool cleaners and vacuums available, and yet again, you need to do your research to make sure that you have the right cleaner for your pool. In the case of a pool cleaner or vacuum, more is sometimes less. Make sure that you buy the best quality to suit your budget and you will enjoy a stress-free pool all year round. Just keep in mind that the most expensive cleaner might not be the right tool for your pool – do your research.
You need to clean your pool filter for optimal performance. Everything that ends up in your water and that you cannot skim off with a leaf skimmer, ends up in your pool filter. Proper maintenance also depends on the type of filter that you have. Again, contact your local pool center for more information on your specific filter.
Last, but not least, many hands make light work. Your teenager enjoys the pool just as much as you do, if not more. Teach children from an early age the basic principles of maintaining the pool and they will appreciate the pool more. They will also thank you one day when they have their own pools and know what to do when. It’s a win-win situation ;)
